HOPPY HURRICANE RELIEF FUND!!!

SACRAMENTO, CA - In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina's destruction, the people of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama have been left with a set of unfortunate circumstances that requires a large humanitarian relief effort. The enormity of the situation is so large, that not one person and/or organization on their own can be truly helpful to remedy this situation, but if we all pitch in with an effort of aid through the American Red Cross and/or other organized efforts, together we can make a difference. With that being said, at least during the month of September, $0.25 of every pint of Hoppy Brew sold will be donated to the Red Cross relief effort. Hopefully by the end of September the American Red Cross will have a handle on processing these new found homeless American refugees...

For more information on the relief effort, please visit their website at http://www.redcross.org .

HOPPY UPCOMING EVENTS!!!

New beers for September will be:

1) The return of Ryer Islander's Ale. This beer is brewed with over 30% Rye Malt, is unfiltered, and has a distinct rye bread character with a hint of roasted flavors; along with a tantalizing orange hue. The hop character consists of a blend of Vanguard, Hallertau, and Liberty hops finishing it off with a spicy aroma. Alcohol by volume is 6.2%, and should be on tap either this week or next.

2) Heffy Face Hoppyweizen!!! Traditionally speaking, hefeweizen should not have much hop character. Since Hoppy is all about hops, Ed has decided that it is long past time that he kicked that quaint old notion to the curb. Brewed with German Caramel Wheat Malt and many "In Your Face!" additions of German Hersbrucker Hops. It is fermented with our Bavarian Hefeweizen yeast and served unfiltered. Alcohol by volume is estimated at 5.0%, and should be on tap around mid-September.

Remember...the craft brew industry is very competitive, and we can always use your help when you are out there in the bars, restaurants, grocery stores, and etc. How can you help us you may be asking yourself??? Well...ask your local retailer(s) for our products (to the point of bugging them if necessary), so that you are able to buy the products that you "really" want - not just what is on the store shelf, or on-tap, at the moment...

You, the consumer, have more power than you may know. Speak up, speak clearly, and your earnest taste buds may reap those proactive rewards. If you do this, then we are sure it will not be long before you will be able to enjoy our Liquid Sunshine™ Blonde, Hoppy Face™ Amber, Stony Face™ Red, and Total Eclipse™ Black Ales outside of attending a local festival, or even visiting us here in Sacramento...
