HOPPY HOPS ONTO CAMPUS!!!

SACRAMENTO, CA - With becoming the "official" microbrewery for California State University, Sacramento (CSUS) Athletics, the Hoppy Crew has been busy putting together a number of fun-filled promotions to help spread the awareness of Hoppy's new location in town. "With Football, Soccer, and Volleyball starting this month, and with 87% of the 24,000 plus student body being of legal drinking age - not to mention all of the Faculty and the Alumni, we are extremely excited about giving these people the opportunity to try some really Great Food, Awesome Beer, and meet some Cool People when they come visit us," says an excited Mr. Robert Helms, Hoppy Brewing's Director of Promotions.

"With the football season set to kick-off on Saturday, September 04th against Saint Mary's College, the first 500 people to come by the brewery can pick up a ticket voucher to join us at the game as our guest. In addition, and in conjunction with Pepsi Cola, we are planning on having a HUGE prep-rally Saturday afternoon, with a real band, to be held behind the brewpub for the BIG Causeway Classic against UC Davis on September 18th. Feel free to park in our lot and take the shuttle service over to the stadium, or if you are not interested in going to the game, and since this game will be televised live on KMAX UPN 31, feel free to come by for the pregame rally and then stay at the brewery to watch the game," finishes a very enthusiastic Mr. Helms.

For more information about our upcoming events, feel free to visit us online at www.hoppy.com/future.htm, give us a call at 916.451.HOPPY (4677), or better yet, just stop by in person, with this note in hand to receive a complimentary gift. In addition to our menu being online, we have added pictures of all of menu items to help provide you with a bit more incentive to stop in for a "bite-n-pint". Finally, and if the mood strikes you, feel free to send this note to a friend, and even bring them along for some GREAT food, AWESOME beer, and COOL people!!!

HOPPY BREWERS NEWS...

SACRAMENTO, CA - With the Dawg-Daze of Summer fast fading into the sunset, and with the Belgian Wit quickly becoming a distant memory, the Hoppy Brew Crew has a couple of "new" brews hitting the taps just in time for Labor Day and the onset of Fall.

Mr. Tom Frisbie, Hoppy's brewer in charge of Quality Control, has brewed up what he is calling "Bill [Buggedusfora] Brown Ale". According to Mr. Frisbie, "it is not like a typical English Brown, nor quite like an American Brown, but rather it is a nice rich malty hybrid of the two, which should make the malt-heads out there quite happy." In addition, Mr. Ed Kopta, Hoppy's head brewer, has a very kind Hefeweizen that should satisfy most any persons desire to drink an unfiltered wheat beer.

On the drawing boards for the month of September, we will be having a Great American Beer Festival (GABF) sampling session on September 23rd after we drop off the beers to be sent to Denver for the festival. Come by the brewery and get a complimentary taste of the four beers going out to Colorado, and make sure to let us know what your thoughts are on the brews... The one beer that you will get to taste that is not normally on tap is the Hoppy Claus™ Holiday Ale, which we make by using a special blend of herbs and spices provided by the good folks at Celestial Seasonings in Boulder, Colorado.

If that is not enough, we have one more new brew coming out in September, and word has it that it will be a "truly" unique ale... A lot of people come in asking for a "Pale Ale", but what they are really asking for is something like a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, so to make the customers happy, the Brew Crew is going to be brewing up a Pale Ale - but they will be using something other than hops in the finish to provide a distinctive aroma... If we have you just a bit curious, then you will just have to come by and give it a try to find out what the guys in the brewery are putting into the kettle for this "unique" brew...

HOPPY TO HOST THE BREWERS GUILD!!!

SACRAMENTO, CA - We are proud to announce that we are the host brewery for the students attending the American Brewers Guild's Intensive Brewing Science and Engineering classes. "With classes and higher education becoming more efficient by allowing students to do their course work through the Internet rather than sitting in a classroom, it made sense for us to work with a local brewery like Hoppy to provide our students the practical "hands-on" training of actually working in a brewery when we get to that portion of the training," comments Mr. Steve Parkes, President of the American Brewers Guild.

If you have an interest in brewing, and would like more information on what the school has to offer, you can visit them online at www.abgbrew.com, or simply call them at 800.636.1331, we are quite sure you will get more than your monies worth by going through the program.

Remember...the craft brew industry is very competitive, and we can always use your help when you are out there in the bars, restaurants, grocery stores, and etc. How can you help us you may be asking yourselves??? Well...we need you to ask your local retailer(s) for our products (to the point of bugging them if necessary), so that you are able to buy the products that you "really" want - not just what is on the store shelf, or on-tap, at the moment...

You, the consumer, have more power than you may know. Speak up, speak clearly, and your earnest taste buds may reap those proactive rewards. If you do this, then we are sure it will not be long before you will be able to enjoy our Liquid Sunshine™ Blonde, Hoppy Face™ Amber, and Total Eclipse™ Black Ales, along with our Hoppy Springs™ "Pre-Brewed" Spring Water outside of attending a local festival, or even visiting us here in Sacramento...
