Venue Spotlight

Located at the corner of Third & Santa Clara streets in downtown San Jose, the Mission Ale House - formerly Dot's Bar - is the latest multi- handle pub to open in San Jose. With their opening to a capacity crowd on February 29th, Dan and Hugo - who also are those very same guys from that crazy Dos Locos Cantina in the Pavilion here in town, and Dave - from the Blue Chalk Cafe in Palo Alto, have definitely put together a very unique corner pub with 24 microbrewed beers on tap. This is the type of pub commonly found in the northwest cities of Portland and Seattle. One will undoubtably have to spend many hours sampling the fine choices they have to offer.

In addition, look for an expanded game/pool room in the very near future, and with the onset of warmer weather, Dan has promised us that their backyard "beer-garden" will be fully operational. The staff here at T.ROY certainly look forward to enjoying the new additions sometime soon! "There's just nothing like sitting outside in a burgeoning cosmopolitan city drinking finely crafted beer while sitting outside in our "new" beer garden", concludes Dan as he looks skyward...
