HOPPY GETS GENTRIFIED!!!
SACRAMENTO, CA - With the nearing completion of the Folsom Boulevard & 65th
Street retail project on the horizon, better known as "F65", Hoppy's new
neighbors are gentrifying the neighborhood. Currently Starbucks, Jamba Juice,
Nextel, and Office Depot are open for business. Opening in the next couple of
months will be Dos Coyotes, Strings, Pita Pocket, EB Games, and a couple of
other tenants yet to be named. Look for an official grand opening of the complex
on Saturday, July 16th to feature a fully furnished loft and various local art
projects on display in the other lofts.
If that is not enough, look for additional construction to begin sometime this
month on the property between Hoppy and Office Depot. That project will build an
additional 143 housing units, along with 10,000 square feet of retail to infill
the vacant property behind Hoppy. The entire project will have 180 parking
spaces. Therefore, while all of this new development will be good for Hoppy,
since it is basically impossible to sell beer to dirt, parking in what was a
vacant lot in the future will become a little more cramped; so look for Hoppy to
be adding additional parking behind the brewery in the next month or two.. Ahh...progress...
In addition, just down the street from Hoppy, the Library Bar & Grill recently
opened in what was the old abandoned Cattle Club/Bojangles nightclub
establishment. The place has been extensively remodeled and has a nice warm
contemporary feel of a study/library room. The place has two bar areas, a
kitchen, a patio area, and with live music on the horizon, look for them to be
open till 2:00am selling some tasty bar fare. Also, if you think about it, tell
them that Hoppy sent you down there to check the place out...
The Library Bar & Grill is located at 7042 Folsom Blvd (walking distance from
Hoppy), just across the street from CSUS, and can be reached by phone at
916.383.7800 to see when they are open. In addition, if you happen to remember,
ask for a Hoppy Brew while you are there... ;)

HOPPY SUPPORTS SAMMIES...
SACRAMENTO, CA - The 14th edition of the annual Sacramento Area Music Awards,
better known as the SAMMIES, will be held on Thursday, July 14th at the Empire
Events Center. Much like last year, the SAMMIES finds Hoppy Brewing proudly
supporting this event, and if you are planning on going to the event, you will
even be able to drink some tasty Hoppy brews during the awards too...
There is a "special" VIP Event from 7:00-8:00pm, with the Doors opening to the
public and awards starting at 8:00pm. Live music starts at 9:00pm featuring: Th'
Losin Streaks, Crazy Ballhead, Deathray, and followed by DJ/Dancing Shaun
Slaughter at Midnight until 2:00am. Tickets are $10.00 in advance and $12.00 at
the door. Tickets are available for purchase at the following locations: SN&R
front office, all Dimple Records locations, The Beat, The Empire Events Center,
and each of the Old Sacramento venues that showcased the SAMMIES nominees.

HOPPY RECENT EVENTS!!!

Our Lucky Dinner Winner for the month of July is Mr. Ken Barge, who is an
Operations Manager for Weyerhaeuser. Congratulations Mr. Barge!!! We look
forward to serving you and your friends a complementary dinner for up to four
friends and/or family on any weekend!

Our brewpub is open daily during the week at 11:00am serving some of the best
valued Lunches, Dinners, and Daily Specials in the area, and on weekends at
10:00am serving Brunch until 3:30 followed by Dinner at 4:30. If you have not
seen our menus lately, feel free to check them out online at

are always looking forward to sharing our day with our valued customers.
However, as some of you already know, Lunch can get quite busy from time-to-time
during the week; so if you are on a tight schedule, please try to avoid the noon
hour for sharing if possible - especially if you have a large party.
Also, in addition to our normal "daily" Hoppy Hour from 3-6pm, and our
LATE-NIGHT Hoppy Hour from 10:00pm till Close, featuring $2.50 pints and $10.00
pitchers, we have a number of other incentives here at our brewpub for you to
enjoy:
* On weekends from 10:00am to 3:30pm, we feature a tasty
Brunch Menu with $5.00 Belvedere Bloody Mary's.
* On Sundays we feature the BEST deal in town, where we
include a bottle of Hoppy brew to go with every
Brunch/Lunch/Dinner entree purchased. PLUS - we have
Hoppy Hour prices from 3:00pm until we close!
* On Sundays & Mondays we feature $0.99 children's meals
with an adult meal purchase.
* On Mondays we feature $2.50 pints & $10.00 pitchers all day
from when we open until we close.
* On Wednesdays we have half price appetizers from
9:00-10:00pm, and a South Park special with $2.50 pints &
$10.00 pitchers starting at 10:00pm with South Park.
* On Saturdays we feature $2.50 pints & $10.00 pitchers from
the time we open at 10:00am until 6:00pm.
Also, our logo gear (i.e., fleece, polo shirts, t-shirts, pint glasses, ball
caps, beanies, and etc.) can make for a GREAT gift any time of year. However, if
you are not sure about our merchandise as a gift, we also have Hoppy Logo Gift
Cards available in your denomination of choice for use here at our brewpub to
give as a present as well...
Lastly, we usually have some space available for your company parties, or for
that special birthday gathering in our brewpub; so if you have an interest in
having your party here at Hoppy's, just call 916.451.4677 and speak with Mr.
Kenny Turner to plan your next party or event as soon as possible. In addition,
if you, and/or your party, desires FREE wireless Internet service, just ask your
server for the WEP key code.

HOPPY UPCOMING EVENTS...
A NEW brew for July is now on tap!!! Tyson's Twisted Pale Ale has once again
made a return to the Brewers Special lineup. For those who do not remember, or
are unfamiliar with this tasty brew, it is brewed with English Maris Otter and
Crystal malts, and hopped with early-, middle-, late-, and dry-hopped with East
Kent Golding, Fuggle, along with a "twist" of Cascade to give it just of bit of
citrus character. It is comparable to a Bass Ale or a Fuller's IPA, with an
alcohol content of 5.3% by volume.
Due on tap sometime in mid- to late July is the "Waddawecaldis Pale Ale"...
Basically, Hoppy puts on its swim trunks for the July heat and lies out on the
beach drinking this refreshingly summery ale. Two different Caramel malts lend a
hint of copper tone to its pale complexion. Several additions of Vanguard and
East Kent Golding hops blow a perky breeze of orange spice from the tropics into
this brew. So come on in and visit us in July, the ale's fine! Alcohol by volume
is estimated to be 5.5%, and is comparable to - Pale ales everywhere - I
suppose... However, it will be a little rounder than and not as bitter as our
Liquid Sunshine™ Blonde Ale.

Remember...the craft brew industry is very competitive, and we can always use
your help when you are out there in the bars, restaurants, grocery stores, and
etc. How can you help us you may be asking yourself??? Well...ask your local
retailer(s) for our products (to the point of bugging them if necessary), so
that you are able to buy the products that you "really" want - not just what is
on the store shelf, or on-tap, at the moment...
You, the consumer, have more power than you may know. Speak up, speak clearly,
and your earnest taste buds may reap those proactive rewards. If you do this,
then we are sure it will not be long before you will be able to enjoy our Liquid
Sunshine™ Blonde, Hoppy Face™ Amber, Stony Face™ Red, and Total Eclipse™ Black
Ales outside of attending a local festival, or even visiting us here in
Sacramento...
