HOPPY HOT IN SACRAMENTO!!!
SACRAMENTO, CA - After only their first month in their first retail "brewpub" location in Sacramento, things are looking pretty rosy for the shiny hoppy people at Hoppy Brewing Company. "We spent our first month working on getting the wheels rolling on this location in a positive fashion, and in getting everyone on the same page prepared for some real upcoming growth," comments an excited Mr. Troy Paski, Hoppy Brewing's President & CEO.
"With our neighborhood being in a state of transition from an older established one, to one being of younger families with young children, we are offering $0.99 "meal deals" to people with children 12 and under on Tuesday's and Thursday's," comments Hoppy Brewing's Restaurant Manager and CFO, Mr. Bill Ennis. "In addition, we are also offering a "HOT" Buffalo Wing special on Thursday's and Friday's during Hoppy Hour (4-7pm) when ordering at the bar where one can get 20 meaty wings for only $4.00," adds Mr. Ennis. "Gee...when you top that off with $2.25 pints during Hoppy Hour, what more could a loyal craft-brew drinker want from a place except maybe some [early-bird] dinner's - which are on the drawing board," adds a thought provoking Mr. Ennis.
"In addition, we currently have print advertising running in the San Jose, San Francisco, Sacramento, and Lake Tahoe markets, and we have radio advertising hitting the airways in the Sacramento market," adds Mr. Paski. "One of our goals is to let those loyal Bay Area fans of our products over the years know that when they are passing through Sacramento, that we have a cozy little establishment with great freeway access for them to enjoy, plenty of gas stations to refuel at, and well why not take a break for a little lunch or dinner before continuing on their trek to either the Mountains or returning to the Bay Area," concludes Mr. Paski.
For more information about their newest location, feel free to visit them online at http://www.hoppy.com/sacramento, give them a call at 916.451.HOPPY (4677), or better yet, just stop by in person, with this note in hand to receive a complimentary gift. In addition to their menu being online, they have added pictures of all of their menu items to help provide you with a bit more incentive to stop in for a "bite-n-pint". Finally, and if the mood strikes you, feel free to send this note to a friend, and even bring them along for some GREAT food, AWESOME beer, and COOL people...

HOPPY PRIZE WINNER...
SACRAMENTO, CA - In the last issue of the Hoppy Times, an offer was made to anyone who happened to be the 10,000th visitor to our home page since last year, and who sent us a print out of the page verifying them as the lucky winner. To that lucky individual we would send them a Hoppy shirt and cap as a prize for being that person. Our lucky winner was Mr. Scott Patterson who now resides in Salt Lake City, Utah. However, the irony of the story is that Mr. Patterson has been a long time fan of Hoppy and who used to live in Sacramento. One can only imagine the disappointed look on Scott's face when he found out that Hoppy was opening a brewpub in Sacramento, but at least he will have some place to go visit when he returns to his roots from time-to-time...
According to Mr. Robert Helms, Hoppy's Director of Promotions, "In the interest of further promoting our website traffic, of which we are getting about 90,000 hits per month, we are again continuing the Hoppy shirt and cap give away offer, but now to the 15,000th lucky visitor to our [home page - http://www.hoppy.com]." "Remember," adds Mr. Helms, "not to forget to make a printout of the page and mail it to us if you happen to be that lucky individual..."

HOPPY BRANDS HIT THE STREETS OF SACRAMENTO!!!
SACRAMENTO, CA - With the restaurant/pub molding into shape nicely, the off-site brew crew at Hoppy is looking to add Self-Distribution to their portfolio in the local "in-town" Sacramento market. According to Mr. Tom Frisbie, Hoppy Brewing's Quality Control brewer (one can only drink so much beer) "as soon as the tap-handles come in later this month, we will be hitting the bars, restaurants, and nightclubs here in Sacramento at a price point that will almost guaranty we will get a handle in every establishment in town." "I have told Troy that I do not believe I am really a good sales-person, but I do love and believe in our products, and that our products speak for themselves. In addition, I am definitely not afraid to go out there and compare our beers, and their quality, against anybody else's out there in the market-place," adds an increasingly confident Mr. Tom Frisbie.
Therefore, look for the Liquid Sunshine™ Blonde, Hoppy Face™ Amber, and Total Eclipse™ Black ales on-tap at local establishments here in Sacramento later this month, and if you do not see them at a location you frequent, make sure to let your establishment know that you want them there, or just go some place that will accommodate your request...
In addition to draft accounts in Sacramento, feel free to stop by the brewpub for kegs to go, Hoppy Cubes (1.0 gal), 22 ounce bomber's, and coming soon in all new six-packs carriers, your choice of our three primary products in "easy-to-handle" 12 ounce bottles.

HOPPY RECENT EVENTS...
SAN JOSE, CA - On the weekend of June 19 & 20th, with absolutely perfect Bay Area weather, the Taste of Silicon Valley was held before an excited gathering of people. The thirsty crowd made their way to Caesar Chavez Park in front of the Fairmont Hotel to enjoy killer local music, food from various local restaurants, wine from local vintners, and craft brew from local breweries.
In addition to the various activities happening at the festival, Mr. Diego Marcical, Hoppy Brewing's local tattoo artist extraordinaire, broke out some Hoppy Tattoo's and made his mark on a fair number of hoppy festive people.
If you are interested in taking a visual tour of the festival and Diego's tagging efforts, feel free to click on the link below, who knows, he may even show up at the BIG upcoming 5 year celebration party...

HOPPY UPCOMING EVENTS!!!
SACRAMENTO, CA - Hoppy Brewing's 5th Anniversary Celebration Party on Saturday, July 17th to be held behind their brewpub at 6300 Folsom Blvd., is sure to be an event that you loyal Hoppy fans will not want to miss. However, if you can not make it to the party, and although the DSL Live WebCam will probably not be hooked up by that time, there will be "somewhat" live website updates throughout the day.
Currently, word has it that Mr. Robert Helms is working on an outdoor stage arrangement with some surprise musical talent, Mr. Bill Ennis and the kitchen crew are working on setting up a grill for cooking up some Buffalo Ribs, Buffalo Dogs, and of course Buffalo Wing Specials, and Mr. Troy Paski and the brew crew are featuring $5.55 pitchers of beer in honor of being in the craft-brewing business for five years - not too mention FREE balloons to children, and FREE commemorative T-shirts to the first 500 people who show up on Saturday.
As a special bonus to investors, and those who have helped Hoppy Brewing make it to their fifth year in business, there will be a special VIP/Investor's brunch on Sunday morning to thank them for their support. In addition to the BIG five year celebration, the event is also being billed as the Grand Opening Celebration Party for Hoppy in Sacramento - talk about killing two birds with one stone and one killer party!!!
For more information regarding this event, feel free to visit their website at http://www.hoppy.com/5yearcelebration, or call them at 916.451.HOPPY (4677) for all of the Hoppy details...
MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA - The 11th Annual Small Brewers Festival of California will be held on the weekend of August 07th & 08th. In addition, proceeds from this event over the past ten years have raised over $500,000 for various local non-profit organizations. Also, an Amateur Brewing Competition will once again be held. So if you are (or know of someone who is) spending your/their time concocting some [killer] home-brew, make sure to enter the competition - this is how Troy and Hoppy basically got started six "fun-filled" years ago. If you have not been to this event, just look for a 14,000 square foot big-top tent with 40 local breweries pouring their "hand-crafted" products for about 20,000 thirsty people's enjoyment - and that would be the place...
For more information regarding this event, feel free to visit their website at http://www.smallbrewersfest.com
SAN JOSE, CA - The 4th Annual San Jose International Beer Festival will take place August 20, 21, & 22nd in Discovery Meadows in Guadalupe River Park in Downtown San Jose. Last years attendance of 65,000 thirsty people was quite a weekend for attendance, but it did not seem like that many people in the large open space of the park. In addition, a number of charities that aid the homeless, and other types of local support foundations, will benefit from the proceeds raised from this festival.
For more information regarding this event, feel free to visit their website at http://www.sjbeerfest.com
SACRAMENTO, CA - Mark your calendars now for the end of Summer Labor Day Celebration Party on Monday, September 06th at Hoppy Brewing Company - 6300 Folsom Blvd. Let the Hoppy Crew take the labor out of your Labor Day with children's back to school meal specials all day long for only $0.99 with an adult purchase. All the details have yet to be cast in stone, so do not hesitate to check their website out as the last summer of the millennium comes to an end...
For more information regarding this party, feel free to visit their website at http://www.hoppy.com, or call them at 916.451.HOPPY (4677) for all of the Hoppy Labor Day details...

Remember...the craft brew industry is very competitive, and we can always use your help when you are out there in the bars, restaurants, grocery stores, and etc. How can you help us you may be asking yourselves??? Well...we need you to ask your local retailer(s) for our products (to the point of bugging them if necessary), so that you are able to buy the products that you "really" want - not just what is on the store shelf, or on-tap, at the moment...
You, the consumer, have more power than you may know. Speak up, speak clearly, and your earnest taste buds may reap those proactive rewards. If you do this, then we are sure it will not be long before you will be able to enjoy our Liquid Sunshine™ Blonde, Hoppy Face™ Amber, and Total Eclipse™ Black Ales, along with our most recent product Hoppy Springs™ "Pre-Brewed" Spring Water outside of attending a local festival, or even visiting us here in Sacramento...
