HOPPY WEATHERS EL NINO!!!
AUBURN, CA - With El Nino still producing unheard of "winter-like"
conditions into the month of June, we last informed you with news that Mr.
Troy Paski, Hoppy Brewing's President & CEO, was feverishly trying to put a
deal together with the City of Auburn to keep their "local" hometown
microbrewery operational. As it turns out, he was unable to put a deal
together in time to keep the equipment from being trucked out of the
building to sit in a storage lot in nearby Sacramento...
"Unfortunately, our landlord walked in about three days too late with an
offer to help us buy the equipment; so now it is back to square one,"
comments a frustrated Mr. Paski. When asked what he was planning to do
next, Mr. Paski replied with "take a few days to [re-focus] my thoughts,
work on putting a new deal together for a microbrewery/brewpub here in
Auburn, and continue brewing Hoppy Face some place nearby in the
interim..."

HOPPY ARRIVES AT HANGTOWN...
PLACERVILLE, CA - With the continued consolidation of microbreweries taking
its toll on small microbreweries, and the undaunting task of preserving
shelf-space in [large] chain driven grocery stores, Hoppy - feeling like the
ever wondering nomadic microbrewery - begins brewing at The Hangtown Brewery
in Placerville.
"I was talking with David Coody, Hangtown's founder and brewer, recently
about what had transpired at American River, and after a couple of {get to
know ya visits}, David pretty much agreed to open up his doors to let us do
whatever we need to do in order to make our beer," commented an excited Mr.
Paski.
The BIG issue of the "Contract Brewing" term for Hoppy was resolved, when
Mr. Coody made it clear that "if Hoppy's here doing the cleaning, brewing,
kegging, bottling, and whatever, and Hoppy's address is 560-A Placerville
Dr., then I don't see how it's being {contract brewed}," concluded Mr.
Coody.
For more information about Hangtown Brewery, their 14 barrel brewhouse, and
their tasting room hours, they can be found online at their web site address
"http://www.hangtownbrewery.com", or via the telephone at 530.621.3999.

HOPPY CELEBRATES ITS 4TH ANNIVERSARY!!!
MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA - Believe it or not, Hoppy Brewing has been around for
four "event-filled" years, and is readily making plans to enjoy its 5th
Anniversary. However, the ever energetic Hoppy Crew will take a breather at
this years 10th Annual Small Brewers Festival of California in downtown
Mountain View to celebrate their own four years of existence.
This annual festival, which is where Hoppy got its start, is located behind
the Tied House Brewery & Restaurant (corner of Franklin & Villa), and is an
annual treat for not only the Hoppy Crew, but for other local microbreweries
as well.
With more than 100 different beers, from over 40 (yes that's right) 40
"local" microbreweries in attendance on August 08th and 09th, one should not
have any problems finding a beer or two that they are totally raving to
their friends about on Monday. Tasting kits are $15, which includes your
annual souvenir festival mug and seven tasting tokens, with proceeds going
to local charities.
In addition, there will be great food booths, an amateur brewers contest,
and continuous free live entertainment. "[Free live entertainment] - that's
a given at a beer festival," remarks a smiling Mr. Robert Helms, Hoppy's
Director of Promotions, "but I think they really meant live [musical]
entertainment."
"If you get a chance, don't forget to stop by our Hoppy Booth to sample some
of the very first batch of Hoppy Face that is being made right now in
Placerville, and give your comments to one of the Hoppy Crew," adds an ever
excited Mr. Bob Utley, Hoppy's Consumer Sales Manager.
For more information regarding this festival, they can be found online at
"http://www.smallbrewersfest.com", or by more conventional means at
1.888.875.BREW (2739). Hope to see you there!!!

HOPPY GETS TROY'S WEB SITE BACK UP & RUNNING...
AUBURN, CA - "With the move from San Jose to Auburn, and with changes in
Internet Service Providers, a promising new feature for Hoppy had been Troy's web
site being down," comments Mr. Chris Baerwaldt, Hoppy's Information Systems
Engineer and part-time brewer. "Therefore, with the brewery being out of
commission, and our continued growing internet presence (we went from an
average of under 3,000 hits per month last year to over 14,000 hits last
month), we felt that it was not a priority to get Troy's personal site back up
and running," continues Mr. Baerwaldt. :-P
"Also, new to our web pages are some "fun" advertising banners located at
the bottom of various pages that generates a little bit of revenue for us
every time someone just clicks on the banner. In addition, if someone sees
something that needs to be updated, has suggestions for improvements, or if
there are things one would like to see on our web site, please feel free to
send me a note at [chris@hoppy.com] with your comments. I promise to get
them incorporated as fast as time [humanly] permits," finishes a well
vacationed Mr. Baerwaldt.
For those that are interested in finding out more about Troy's colorful
history, you can find his site at "http://www.hoppy.com/troy/troy.htm". "In
addition, we are also helping Pistol Pete's and Our Smoke Shop (two of our
local Auburn accounts) with exposure on the internet; so if you get a
chance, and are wondering what is going on at one of their fine
establishments, just feel free to click on their names in our "On-Tap"
section," concludes an excited Mr. Baerwaldt.

HOPPY HASHERS GO ONLINE!!!
AUBURN. CA - Upon Hoppy's arrival last fall in Auburn, they were welcomed by
a "loyal" crew of runners who have a genuine love for beer, and because of
that love for beer, they made a perfect match in helping Hoppy fit in with
the local community and getting their beer "smoothly" out of the brewery to
the thirsty public for eager consumption.
If you have never heard of the Hash House Harriers before, they are a
"loosely-knit" world-wide running organization with local chapters in every
imaginable place all over the world. Their self-proclaimed motto is "A
drinking club with a running problem...", and the local chapter can be found
online at "http://www.hoppy.com/ahhh", or by more conventional
means at 1.888.861.HASH (4274). ON-ON!!!
