SACRAMENTO, CA - If you have visited Hoppy recently on the first Saturday of each month from 11:00am to 1:00pm, then you know about The Spillit Quikkers (TSQ) and their brand of acoustic Bluegrass, and if you have not, then your next chance to catch them at Hoppy will be on Saturday, October 07th from 11:00am until 2:00pm.

TSQ will be débuting their "first" CD, performing some songs from their disc, signing autographs (yes - just picture school teachers gone wild), and there will even be cake to celebrate this event too!!! In addition, for those who can not physically make it to Hoppy to witness them in person, feel free to click on the link below to {see and hear} them via our "live" streaming webcams. We will have the top two cameras zoomed in on the stage during their performance.

SACRAMENTO, CA - With the closing of the California State Fair on Labor Day today, Hoppy is glad to "officially" announce that it was awarded the following awards:

HOPPY HAS FREE WIRELESS!!!

SACRAMENTO, CA - Are you a member of a Fantasy Football Group, and looking for a place to check your stats during football season??? Look no further than Hoppy while you are eating a delicious, cooked-to-order, Brunch with DirecTV's NFL Sunday Ticket, and FREE Wi-Fi. Brunch is served from 10:00am until 3:30pm, and includes such items as: a Hoppy Breakfast that comes with 2 eggs, country potatoes, toast and your choice of: 3 bacon strips, 1 ham slice, or 3 sausage links for only $6.95, or a short or tall stack of Hoppy Pancakes from $5.25-$7.50, to Steak & Eggs for only $7.95 - plus we have $0.99 kids meals all day - including a kids breakfast on Sundays. Also, if you would like to get rid of the "hair-of-dog", we always offer a spicy Belvedere Bloody Mary or a tasty Mimosa for only $5.00 on the weekends for Brunch.

In addition, are you self-employed or work out of your home and are looking for a place to conduct a mid-afternoon meeting, or are you a student and need to get some homework done??? If so, feel free to stop in at Hoppy for a cold brew or two, a light lunch or some appetizers and make use of our FREE wireless network. Just ask your server, or bartender, for the WEP key address, connect to HoppyPoint1, and you will be good to go. As an additional bonus, students receive half off appetizers Monday through Friday from 2:00 to 5:00pm with a valid student ID, which means studying is not so bad with a cold beer in your hand... :)

Our brewpub is open daily during the week at 11:00am serving some of the best valued Lunches, Dinners, and Daily Specials in the area, and on weekends at 10:00am serving Brunch until 3:30 followed by Dinner at 4:30. We are always looking forward to sharing our day with our valued customers. However, as some of you already know, Lunch can get quite busy from time-to-time during the week; so if you are on a tight schedule, please try to avoid the noon hour for sharing if possible - especially if you have a large party.

Also, in addition to our normal "daily" Hoppy Hour from 3-6pm, and our LATE-NIGHT Hoppy Hour from 10:00pm till Close, featuring $3.25 pints and $11.00 pitchers, we have a number of other incentives here at our brewpub for you to enjoy:

HOPPY UPCOMING EVENTS!!!

For those intrigued by "trivia", each Tuesday night, from 10:00-10:30pm, Ms Jennifer Rembert & Ms Lacy Bennett put together 20 questions for those in attendance to answer - topics are spread evenly across the universe. The game can be played as an individual, or in teams, with prizes varying each week as to what the winner(s) get. Therefore, with Lacy reading the questions, Jennifer grading the contestants, and with Hoppy Hour prices, what better way to get a little education on a Tuesday night... :)

New Brewers Specials or September will be:

Mom's Birthday Ale - This beer is a rich Leonine gold and easy to drink in the lingering heat of late summer. Victory and Carapils malts lend body and a slightly nutty flavor. A hint of Extra Special Malt gives the color a subtle orange highlight. Crystal and Glacier hops contribute notes of grapefruit and spice. Alcohol by volume is 5.7%, and is on tap now.

Jonalin French Country Ale - This rustic beer is made with Pale, Vienna, and Carawheat Malts for a rich flavor, and then Candi Sugar is added to make that richness a bit more drinkable. A modest (relative to us, heavy-handed with respect to the style) addition of Willamette hops balances the beer and imbues it with a hint of earth. Fermented cool with Kölsch yeast and then lagered on cork for handmade charm. Alcohol by volume targeted to be 7.5% and is due on tap when the Super Hoppy runs out later this month.

September 9th is quite a day for beer fans in our surrounding counties. Yuba City Kiwanis are hosting the Blues, Brews & BBQ at the Yuba Sutter Fairgrounds from 4:00-9:00pm. If Monterey is your weekend destination, Mr. Tyson Herzog will be pouring our brews at the Monterey Festival of Beer at the Monterey Fairgrounds. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the event. Hoppy will also be in Sonoma County in the great town of Healdsburg that day for Beer in the Plaza hosted by the Soroptimist Club of Healdsburg from 3:00-7:00pm. Saturday, September 16th, shares another pair of beer events. The California Brewers Festival will be held from 1:00-5:00pm in Discovery Park. Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 at the door and can be purchased online by visiting http://www.calbrewfest.org , or by contacting a member of Point West Rotary at 916-368-BREW. Come by for a tattoo and a beer - you will be glad you did!!!

If you prefer something a little more low key, join Hoppy in Fair Oaks for the first annual Chicken Festival!!! This three day event kicks off Friday night with a chicken BBQ (weird, huh). Saturday morning, there is a $5.00 breakfast, followed by music (Mumbo Gumbo will be kicking it off), cooking demos, kid activities, and the BEER TASTING will be happening from 11:00am-3:00pm. Admission is free, but beer tastings will be $1.00 for a five (5) ounce serving. Please come and have a taste of Hoppy and celebrate our feathered friends. On Friday, September 22nd, from 6:00pm until midnight, Hoppy will be in San Diego for the San Diego Festival of Beer. Finally, the Great American Beer Festival in Denver, Colorado is once again upon us from September 28th through the 30th. This is the BIG granddaddy of beer festivals in the craft-brew industry, with about 380 brewers and 1600 beers from around the country converging upon Denver to show off their latest brews. This festival draws about 20,000 people a day each year, and makes for one exciting time during the course of each evening's session.

You, the consumer, have more power than you may know. Speak up, speak clearly, and your earnest taste buds may reap those proactive rewards. If you do this, then we are sure it will not be long before you will be able to enjoy our Liquid Sunshine™ Blonde, Hoppy Face™ Amber, Stony Face™ Red, and Total Eclipse™ Black Ales outside of attending a local festival, or even visiting us here in Sacramento...
