HOPPY OPENS FOR BREAKFAST!!!

SACRAMENTO, CA - Starting just in time for NFL Football, Hoppy Brewing will be open at 9:00am on Sunday's for a "cooked-to-order" Breakfast. According to Mr. Kenny Turner, Hoppy's Restaurant Manager, "With football season starting, it just makes sense to offer a tasty "cooked-to-order" breakfast with the opportunity to see a football game." Breakfast will be served from 9:00am until 1:00pm, and include such items as: a Hoppy Breakfast that comes with 3 eggs, hash browns, toast and your choice of: 3 bacon strips, 1 ham slice, or 3 sausage links for only $6.95, or a Hoppy Omelet for $6.25 to Steak & Eggs for only $7.95 - plus we have $0.99 kids meals all day - including a kids breakfast on Sundays. Also, if you would like to get rid of the "hair-of-dog", we will be offering a spicy Bloody "Virgin" Mary with your choice of any three ounce taster of one of our Hoppy brews, or a tasty Mimosa, and Hoppy's regular Lunch menu will be available as usual starting at 11:00am.

In addition, if you are a member of a Fantasy Football Group, and you are looking for a place to watch your favorite football game, we will be offering DirectTV's NFL Sunday Ticket this year, and as always feel free to check your stats with our high-speed wireless DSL connection.

HOPPY SUPPORTS CSUS...

SACRAMENTO, CA - For its fifth consecutive year, Hoppy Brewing is once again proud to announce their support of the athletic program at Sacramento State. This years football program features a new coach - Mr. Steve Mooshagian - and a new winning attitude. The Hornets have their first home game this coming Saturday, September 6th, at 6:05pm against St. Mary's. As usual, you will be able to find tasty Hoppy brews in the beer garden at the South end of the stadium to accompany the new attitude during the game.

Also, for the CSUS Alumni members, there is always a VIP pregame party next to the beer garden. With some of the spiciest Buffalo Wings in town, Hoppy makes them available prior to every game; so make sure to get your fill before they run out - since they always go quickly...

HOPPY UPDATES WIRELESS!!!

SACRAMENTO, CA - Mr. Chris Baerwaldt, Hoppy's Chief Information Technology Officer, has been hard at work updating Hoppy's wireless capabilities. According to Chris, "Three years ago we had some pretty state of the art technology available here in the brewpub to use, and not too many people took advantage of it. However, now wireless is becoming fairly common, and it is once again time to upgrade." Therefore, as a prelude of things to come, the Hoppy Crew should be providing wireless streaming media from its booth in Denver, Colorado. Look for links to the upcoming Great American Beer Festival in the Upcoming Events further down in this issue.

HOPPY RECENT EVENTS...

Mr. Bill Ennis, Hoppy's former Restaurant Manager and current Office Manager has decided it is time for him to return to the foothills... Mr. Ennis has been with Hoppy for almost five years, and has provided an invaluable amount of restaurant knowledge as Hoppy has grown in its Sacramento location. That knowledge will be missed, but not forgotten. As an organization, and personally, we/I thank you for everything you have provided while you were here, and wish you the best of luck in your pursuit of foothill nirvana!!!

Our brewpub is open daily at 11:00am serving some of the best valued Lunches, Dinners, and Daily Specials in the area. In addition, during football season, we are open at 9:00am for Breakfast on Sundays. Therefore, if you have not seen our menu lately, feel free to check it out online at http://www.hoppy.com/sacramento/menu.htm, or just stop in and see us. We are always looking forward to sharing our day with our valued customers. However, as some of you already know, Lunch can get quite busy from time-to-time during the week; so if you are on a tight schedule, please try to avoid the noon hour for sharing if possible - especially if you have a large party.

Also, in addition to our normal daily Hoppy Hour from 3-6pm and our LATE-NIGHT Hoppy Hour from 10-Close, featuring $3.00 pints and $10.00 pitchers, we have a number of other incentives here at our brewpub for you to enjoy:

    * On Sundays we feature the BEST deal in town, where we include
      a bottle of Hoppy brew to go with every Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner
entree purchased.
    * On Sundays & Tuesdays we feature $0.99 children's meals
      with an adult meal purchase.
    * On Mondays we feature $1.50 half pints all day until we close,
      plus a FREE root beer float for the half pint kids. :)
    * On Tuesdays we feature $2.50 pints all day until we close.
    * On Wednesdays we have half price appetizers from 9-10:00pm,
      and a South Park special where most of our half pint beers on
      tap are only $1.50 starting at 10:00pm with South Park.
    * On Saturdays we feature $9.00 pitchers all day until we close.
* On Sundays during football season, from 9:00am - 1:00pm, we
      feature a "cooked-to-order" Breakfast (from Sept - Jan).
    * Whenever the temperature hits a 100 degrees, the bartender
      picks a Hoppy brew to be a $1.50 for as long as the heat
      remains in triple digits outdoors...

Also, our logo gear (i.e., polo shirts, t-shirts, pint glasses, ball caps, and etc.) can make for a GREAT gift anytime of the year. However, if you are not sure about our merchandise as a gift, we also have gift certificates available in most any denomination of your choice for use here at our brewpub to give as a present as well...

HOPPY UPCOMING EVENTS!!!

Coming this September 20th, will be the 9th Annual California Brewer's Festival, from 1:00 until 5:00pm, located at Cesar Chavez Park in downtown Sacramento. There will be over 100 award-winning microbrew's from northern California, Oregon, and Nevada; food from local restaurants, and live music from local bands. In addition, proceeds this year are once again benefiting Communities In Schools - Student Buddy Program. This event is presented by "Rotary of Point West" with tickets $15.00 in advance and $20.00 at the gate. The Great American Beer Festival in Denver, Colorado is once again upon us from September 25th through the 27th. This is the BIG granddaddy of beer festivals in the craft-brew industry, with about 320 brewers from around the country converging upon Denver to show off their latest brews. This festival draws about 20,000 people a day each year, and makes for one exciting time during the course of each day's session.

In addition, we know most of you do not have the opportunity to make it out to Denver, and as much fun as it is, we figured we would bring it to you as best we could. The festival runs from 5:30PM - 10:00PM (MDT) on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. If everything works as has been tested, we will be providing an improved version of what the Hoppy Crew delivered in 2001, and will be broadcasting live via the internet from our booth (and around the hall via wireless) at the Colorado Convention Center during the festival.
