HOPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!

SACRAMENTO, CA - On Mother's Day, which is this coming Sunday, May 09th, we will be open at 9:00am with a Special Mother's Day Brunch. In addition to the Brunch, and to further help celebrate this SPECIAL day, Hoppy is including for each Mom a FREE dessert of her choice; along with a glass of champagne or Hoppy brew included in the price of the meal all day long. So take advantage of the best deal in town and make your reservation now to show up and celebrate Mother's Day with MOM and Hoppy!!!

HOPPY TURNS FIVE & TEN...

SACRAMENTO, CA - Hoppy Brewing has been in the microbrewery business for almost ten years, and has seen the industry change in many ways over the last decade. Some good, some bad, but currently the industry as a whole looks as solid as ever. In addition, June will mark Hoppy's 5th year of existence here at our Sacramento brewpub. As most of you who have been with us over these past five years already know, we have continually gotten busier, which I suppose is a good thing... However, if it were not for you - our valued customers - we would not be here. The Hoppy staff wants to thank you for your continued patronage and support over these past five years, and we look forward to serving you for many more years to come!

With five years in mind, we thought we would provide a month long celebration to help commemorate that achievement to our customers. Therefore, during the month of June we will be providing a commemorative Hoppy logo pint for you to take home with each pint purchase for only $5.00 as long as supplies last. Of course our other beer specials throughout the week will remain in effect for a regular pint, but for those wanting to take that special pint glass home with them, that total will always be $5.00 during the whole month of June. In addition, all pitcher prices will be $10 during the whole month of June as well, just to help celebrate Hoppy's 10th anniversary in the microbrewery business!!!

HOPPY UPCOMING EVENTS...

Yes, it's Cinco de Mayo on Wednesday already!!! Join us here at Hoppy with some tastiest $2.00 tacos this side of the boarder all day long, and some other yummy specials coming out of the kitchen.

With the coming of the month of May, charitable events basically turn from indoor fund raisers to outdoor to full on beer festivals - still raising money for charity though... :) Below is a list of what Hoppy has going on for the month.

On Saturday, May 15th, from 1-5:00pm, the 5th Annual West Coast Brewers Festival, supporting "Make A Difference Project", will be held in Miller Park & Marina on the Sacramento River, which is at the west end of Broadway (2790 Marina View Way) here in Sacramento. This "cool" beer festival will be featuring breweries from the West Coast, great live music and food, an awards ceremony for the brewers, and it's all for only $15.00 advance or $20.00 at the gate. Tickets can also be purchased at one of your local breweries here in Sacramento, which includes us here at Hoppy, or online at their website.

Also, later on that same Saturday is the 10th Annual Sudz in the City at Grizzlies Stadium in downtown Fresno from 4:00-10:00pm. Tickets are $25 and more information can be found by contacting Stanley Kooyimjian at 559.490.9966 or via email at: stanley@downtownfresno.org .

The following week on Saturday, May 22nd from 12:00-5:00pm is the Back to the Boatyard Monterey Beer Festival near Cannery Row in Monterey. Tickets are $20 in advance per person, or $25 day of the event. For more information, call their festival hotline number at 831.373.2843.

Rounding May out and starting the traditional weekend of Summer on Saturday, May 29th from 12:00-7:00pm is the Northern California Rhythm & Brews Festival at the Nut Tree in Vacaville. Tickets are only $20 for this FUN event, but for more information, feel free to contact George at 707.420.2664.

On Memorial Day, Monday May 31st, in addition to our regular $1.50 beer special, we will also be more than our normal child friendly brewpub that day by offering a kids eat FREE meal for children 12 and under with an adult meal purchase - within reason... :)

On Saturday, June 05th, from 1-5:00pm, is the 13th Annual Beerfest, a benefit for Face to Face, in Santa Rosa at the Luther Burbank Center featuring 38 local breweries, 26 Food purveyor's and music will be provided by FREE PEOPLES! Tickets are $28.00 in advance or $32.00 day of the event.

HOPPY RECENT EVENTS...

Our Lucky Dinner Winner for the month of May is Mr. Gerald Martin, who is Assistant Director for Asian-American Exchange from The Asia Foundation. Congratulations Mr. Martin!!! We look forward to serving you and your friends a complementary dinner for up to four friends and/or family on any weekend!!!

Looking for a place to watch a KINGS game during the playoffs??? Well...from time-to-time when the weather is nice, we add a TV set to the outdoor patio to help accommodate those who wish to sit outside and yet would like to watch the game. YES, it does help with the overflow crowd as well... Also, just like last year, we will be suspending reservations during KINGS games in the main dining area. Therefore, if you have a group of people and want a great seat for the game in front of BIG screen, then make sure that all of your group arrives early... :)

Our brewpub is open daily at 11:00am serving some of the best valued Lunches, Dinners, and Daily Specials in the area. In addition, we are open at 9:00am for Breakfast on Sundays. Therefore, if you have not seen our menu lately, feel free to check it out online at http://www.hoppy.com/sacramento/menu.htm , or just stop in and see us. We are always looking forward to sharing our day with our valued customers. However, as some of you already know, Lunch can get quite busy from time-to-time during the week; so if you are on a tight schedule, please try to avoid the noon hour for sharing if possible - especially if you have a large party.

Also, in addition to our normal daily Hoppy Hour from 3:00-6:00pm and our LATE-NIGHT Hoppy Hour from 10:00pm-Close, featuring $3.00 pints and $10.00 pitchers, we have a number of other incentives here at our brewpub for you to enjoy:

* On Sundays we feature the BEST deal in town, where we
include a bottle of Hoppy brew to go with every
Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner entree purchased.
* On Sundays & Tuesdays we feature $0.99 children's meals
with an adult meal purchase.
* On Mondays we feature $1.50 half pints all day until we
close, plus a FREE root beer float for the half pint kids.
* On Tuesdays we feature $2.50 pints all day until we close.
* On Wednesdays we have half price appetizers from
9:00-10:00pm, and a South Park special where most of our
half pint beers on tap are only $1.50 starting at 10:00pm
with South Park.
* On Saturdays we feature $9.00 pitchers all day until we
close.
* On Sundays from 9:00am - 1:00pm, we feature a tasty
"cooked-to-order" Breakfast.
* Whenever the temperature hits a 100 degrees, the bartender
picks a Hoppy brew to be a $1.50 for as long as the heat
remains in triple digits outdoors...

Also, our logo gear (i.e., fleece, polo shirts, t-shirts, pint glasses, ball caps, beanies, and etc.) can make for a GREAT gift anytime of the year. However, if you are not sure about our merchandise as a gift, we also have gift certificates available in most any denomination of your choice for use here at our brewpub to give as a present as well...

HOPPY STAFF...

For those who have grown accustomed to seeing a familiar hostess face upon entering our doors, Ms. Alicia Lampley, who is part of a group of International Student Volunteers, will be taking off during the month of June and heading for Australia to participate in a Rainforest Restoration Project. She is quite excited about this opportunity to work on this project, and has been busy saving as much money as she can this past year to be able to make the trip possible. Hopefully when she returns, she will have a plenty of fun stories to share with us about the experience.

Well...ask your local retailer(s) for our products (to the point of bugging them if necessary), so that you are able to buy the products that you "really" want - not just what is on the store shelf, or on-tap, at the moment...
