HOPPY NEW BEER!!!
SACRAMENTO, CA - Lager fans take note - the Black Sheep Cocoa Bock that debuted during Cocoa Pete's Valentine's Day Chocolate 101 presentation is garnering rave reviews!!! Plus, Cocoa Pete and his Chocolate Adventures, entertained those in attendance to a special Valentine's Day Dinner treat by giving a little educational seminar on the finer aspects of chocolate and in particular "his" chocolates. For more information about Pete's Chocolates, feel free to contact him at 408.626.2210, or via email at mailto:pete@cocoapete.com .
New on-tap for March is the Pickman's Model Bitter (PMB), or more specifically an Extra Special Bitter (ESB). One can only imagine the trivia question behind the naming of the PMB, so we will just leave it to the imagination... Anyway, the ESB is a robust version of one of the traditional English session beers. Maris Otter malt gives a rounded body, coppery-gold color and medium sweetness, while imported Target and Challenger hops give this beer its mid-level bitterness and spicy aroma. A final dry hopping with Challenger gives the beer just the right bite and aroma without obscuring the malty taste. Alcohol by volume is a quite drinkable 5.4%.

HOPPY GOES TO THE BALLGAME...
SACRAMENTO, CA - With Summer fast approaching, Hoppy Brewing is organizing a trip to the ballpark for the Mug Club Members to see the Oakland Athletics play the San Francisco Giants at beautiful SBC Park on Sunday, July, 04th. The event is open to the first forty (40) mug members to sign up.
The day will start with a chartered bus leaving Hoppy at 8:30am with an expected arrival at the park around 11:00am for a little tailgating until game time at 1:00pm. In addition, each person on the trip will get a Hoppy Cube filled with their beer of choice. The outing costs $75, which includes a Brown Bag meal to eat on the bus, a Cube, BBQ & Tailgating, ticket to the game, and tipping of the bus driver.
For those who like to procrastinate, the list was started last week and people are already signing up to go. Deadline for the Mug Members to sign up and pay for the event is Wednesday, March 31st. After that date, if there are still any slots available, they will be sold on a first come, first serve basis. Everyone had a BLAST last year; so make sure to get signed up before you miss the bus this year...

HOPPY HOTSPOT!!!
SACRAMENTO, CA - With competition heating up with high-speed internet access, Hoppy is working with Alvaire Wireless Networks to supply nearby customers with a seamless alternative to traditional high-speed providers like Comcast or SBC. Starting in April, anyone within a three mile radius of Hoppy could basically subscribe to Alvaire's service and receive "wireless" high-speed internet access. This service would make it very easy for those who work at home, to continue working uninterrupted while they are shopping, eating, or whatever one is doing within the networks service radius - especially everyone over on Sacramento State campus - which is only a half mile away, or for those who like to watch their kids at a Little League game and still stay connected...
For more information about this service, feel free to contact Mr. Jim Wiegandt, their VP of Sales & Marketing, at 916.984.8822, or online at mailto:jim.wiegandt@alvaire.com .

HOPPY JOINS HIND TEAM SPORTS...
SACRAMENTO, CA - Actually it is more like Hind Team Sports joins Hoppy at Ground Zero, but who is keeping track anyway... With the Olympic Track & Field Finals once again set to grace the Sacramento area with the honor of conducting the finals at nearby CSUS campus, Hoppy has teamed up with Hind Team Sports to create their base-camp in Hoppy's back parking lot while they are in town.
Mr. "Peanut" Harms, Hind Team Sports VP of Marketing & Sales was interested in a nearby location where they could set up shop while in town. With a little creative design, Hoppy will be erecting a temporary tent village from July 9th through July 18th that will act as Hind's base-camp and hopefully not impact Hoppy's existing business in the restaurant too much.
In addition, with the "village" concept in mind, for those vendors who would like to participate, or gain some exposure to this unique experience, feel free to contact Mr. Harms at 530.626.8596, or online at mailto:peanut@hindteamsports.com .

HOPPY RECENT EVENTS!!!
Ms. Molly Stowers, Hoppy's former Bartender Manager, has decided it is time for her to finally venture out of Sacramento... Ms. Stowers has been with Hoppy for almost five years, and has provided an invaluable amount of time and energy into building a bar staff as Hoppy has grown in its Sacramento location. Her replacement as Bartender Manager is Ms. Kylie Latimer. As an organization, and personally, we/I thank you for everything you have provided while you were here, and wish you the best of luck as you become acquainted with your new Marin life-style!!! :)
Our Lucky Dinner Winner for the month of March is Mr. Marc Torres, who is a Field Representative from United Rentals. Congratulations Mr. Torres!!! We look forward to serving you and your friends a complementary dinner for up to four friends and/or family on any weekend!!!
Looking for a place to watch a KINGS game when it is not on regular TV??? Hoppy Brewing continues to show all of the Sacramento KINGS games (if they are not blacked out by the NBA) via the NBA League Pass. In addition to just the KINGS games, we will once again have the option to watch any NBA game this season - like watching the Lakers lose... Also, just like last year, we will be suspending reservations during KINGS games in the main dining area. Therefore, if you have a group of people and want a great seat for the game in front of BIG screen, then make sure that your entire group arrives early...
Our brewpub is open daily at 11:00am serving some of the best valued Lunches, Dinners, and Daily Specials in the area. In addition, we are open at 9:00am for Breakfast on Sundays. Therefore, if you have not seen our menu lately, feel free to check it out online at http://www.hoppy.com/sacramento/menu.htm , or just stop in and see us. We are always looking forward to sharing our day with our valued customers. However, as some of you already know, Lunch can get quite busy from time-to-time during the week; so if you are on a tight schedule, please try to avoid the noon hour for sharing if possible - especially if you have a large party.
Also, in addition to our normal daily Hoppy Hour from 3:00-6:00pm and our LATE-NIGHT Hoppy Hour from 10:00pm-Close, featuring $3.00 pints and $10.00 pitchers, we have a number of other incentives here at our brewpub for you to enjoy:

* On Sundays from 9:00am - 1:00pm, we feature a tasty
"cooked-to-order" Breakfast.
* Whenever the temperature hits a 100 degrees, the bartender

remains in triple digits outdoors...
Also, our logo gear (i.e., fleece, polo shirts, t-shirts, pint glasses, ball caps, beanies, and etc.) can make for a GREAT gift anytime of the year. However, if you are not sure about our merchandise as a gift, we also have gift certificates available in most any denomination of your choice for use here at our brewpub to give as a present as well...
Lastly, we usually have some space available for your company parties, or for that special birthday gathering in our brewpub; so if you have an interest in having your party here at Hoppy's, just call 916.451.4677 and speak with Mr. Kenny Turner to plan your next party or event as soon as possible...

Remember...the craft brew industry is very competitive, and we can always use your help when you are out there in the bars, restaurants, grocery stores, etc. How can you help us you may be asking yourselves??? Well...ask your local retailer(s) for our products (to the point of bugging them if necessary), so that you are able to buy the products that you "really" want - not just what is on the store shelf, or on-tap, at the moment...
You, the consumer, have more power than you may know. Speak up, speak clearly, and your earnest taste buds may reap those proactive rewards. If you do this, then we are sure it will not be long before you will be able to enjoy our Liquid Sunshine™ Blonde, Hoppy Face™ Amber, Stony Face™ Red, and Total Eclipse™ Black Ales outside of attending a local festival, or even visiting us here in Sacramento...
