HOPPY DOES OLYMPIC FINALS!!!

SACRAMENTO, CA - Starting on Friday July 9th, will be the return of the Olympic Track & Field Finals on the nearby campus of Sacramento State University, and Hoppy is just a mere 2100' from the stadium. With that being the case, and in conjunction with Hind Team Sports, Hoppy will be erecting a temporary tent city in the back parking lot to play host for Hind Team Sports and their "Nation of Green" during their stay here in Sacramento for the Trials.

The Olympic Trials happen to take a break on Tuesday, the 13th and Wednesday, the 14th, which gives Hoppy an opportunity to have a private 10th Anniversary celebration party on Tuesday, the 13th, in the tent out back. Therefore, if you are reading this - YOU and your friends ARE INVITED - to Hoppy's private party. Doors open at 6:00pm, with an appetizer buffet available until 9:00pm. Music for the evening will feature "Acoustic Fuse" starting at 7:00pm and "Gringo Loco" at 9:00pm. So if you are looking for something to do on Tuesday night, plan on showing up for a little music, beer, food, and good old fun, and if you are planning on showing up, a RSVP would help give an idea as to how many guests we can expect for the evening... :)

Meanwhile, for those planning on attending the Olympic events, plenty of parking will be available in the vacant lot behind our brewery, with parking proceeds being used as a fund raiser for the El Dorado Track & Field Team; so remember to show up early in the day, park, walk over, and return for some fun and excitement when the events are done each day. At this point, it looks as though parking will be $5 per day, $10 for a 4-day pass, or $20 for all eight days of the Finals.

As far as evening entertainment goes, according to Mr. Green there will be plenty of contests, musical entertainment, surprise guest appearances, and etc. to make the 2004 Finals one for the record books. HOPPY SUPPORTS SAMMIES...

SACRAMENTO, CA - The 13th edition of the annual Sacramento Area Music Awards, better known as the SAMMIES, will be held on Wednesday, July 14th at the Crest Theater. This year the SAMMIES finds Hoppy Brewing proudly supporting this event, and if you are planning on going to the event, you will even be able to drink some tasty Hoppy brews during the awards too...

HOPPY DOES MARATHON!!!

SACRAMENTO, CA - Coming on Sunday, August 01st in the city better known as Bagdad-By-The-Bay, the Hoppy Crew will join forces with "platinum head", a band from Santa Cruz, during the annual marathon in San Francisco. Some cities like New Orleans have Mardi Gras to let the legions of hedonists set their yaw-yaws free, well San Francisco has the "Marathon". Therefore, displaying true to form gorilla marketing, pH will be providing a litmus test with a live outdoor street side performance, and the Hoppy Crew will be tattooing and stickering those who pass by during this circus-like street race, not to mention, selling merchandise, and probably also doing some quality control checks on Hoppy's latest bottled brews; so make sure to stop by and ask for a sample or two... ;)

Our brewpub is open daily at 11:00am serving some of the best valued Lunches, Dinners, and Daily Specials in the area. In addition, we are open at 9:00am for Breakfast on Sundays. We are always looking forward to sharing our day with our valued customers. However, as some of you already know, Lunch can get quite busy from time-to-time during the week; so if you are on a tight schedule, please try to avoid the noon hour for sharing if possible - especially if you have a large party.

Also, in addition to our normal daily Hoppy Hour from 3:00-6:00pm and our LATE-NIGHT Hoppy Hour from 10:00pm-Close, featuring $3.00 pints and $10.00 pitchers, we have a number of other incentives here at our brewpub for you to enjoy:

* On Sundays we feature the BEST deal in town, where we include a bottle of Hoppy brew to go with every Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner entree purchased.
* On Sundays & Tuesdays we feature $0.99 children's meals with an adult meal purchase.
* On Mondays we feature $1.50 half pints all day until we close, plus a FREE root beer float for the half pint kids.
* On Tuesdays we feature $2.50 pints all day until we close.
* On Wednesdays we have half price appetizers from 9:00-10:00pm, and a South Park special where most of our half pint beers on tap are only $1.50 starting at 10:00pm with South Park.
* On Saturdays we feature $9.00 pitchers all day until we close.
* On Sundays from 9:00am - 1:00pm, we feature a tasty "cooked-to-order" Breakfast.
* Whenever the temperature hits a 100 degrees, the bartender picks a Hoppy brew to be a $1.50 for as long as the heat remains in triple digits outdoors...

Also, our logo gear (i.e., fleece, polo shirts, t-shirts, pint glasses, ball caps, beanies, and etc.) can make for a GREAT gift anytime of the year. However, if you are not sure about our merchandise as a gift, we also have gift certificates available in most any denomination of your choice for use here at our brewpub to give as a present as well...

HOPPY UPCOMING EVENTS!!!

The NEW brew for July it out, and in coordination with American Beer Month, plus lets not forget the arrival of the Olympic Track and Field Finals here in Sacramento, is the debut of Hoppy's "Vapor" Lager. This all-American brew is a tribute to our own indigenous Northern California beer style (which can't actually be named due to trademark reasons - another American hallmark!). In creating this brew, the brewers used American Crystal and Chocolate Malts, along with American Brewer's Gold and Hallertau Hops, American yeast, and yes, even water from the nearby American River. God Bless America!!! Alcohol in this brew is a gentle 4.2% by volume.
